Doylestown Hospital Chooses Summit Provider Exchange for Bi-Directional Physician EMR Integration

Braintree, Mass., -Doylestown Hospital, a 238 bed community-focused healthcare facility has expanded their partnership with Summit Healthcare to support their bi-directional physician office integration efforts.  They are currently implementing the Summit Provider Exchange technology solution to manage the inbound orders process between their physician ambulatory clinics running the NextGen EMR and their hospital.

Doylestown Hospital has been trusting Summit Healthcare as their integration partner since 2005 when they implemented the Summit Express Connect interface engine. Summit Express Connect provides them with total control over their interfacing needs, the ability to leverage existing interfaces as well as make changes immediately to accommodate the receiving vendor systems.

Doylestown Hospital chose the Summit Provider Exchange technology to seamlessly integrate inbound orders from their physician office.  This will provide a streamlined bi-directional solution for a variety of clinical workflow automation needs, including results outbound, orders inbound and inbound ADT into their HCIS. Summit Provider Exchange was created specifically to handle the unique workflow and registration challenges that often present when trying to integrate physician EMR systems with the main HCIS.
